Sears Portrait Lameos

We get a lot of coupons in the mail now for baby related stuff since we subscribe to one of those parenting magazines, and we both signed up for a bunch of free offers on the web. We got a pretty good coupon for pictures at Sears- the kind that are more or less required if you are born in this country. Overall it was a fairly frustrating experience that I would be very unhappy with if I was paying anything close to full price. We showed up on time for our appointment, but they were running late with another customer. From where we were sitting all of the proofs the woman was trying to choose from looked exactly the same so she should have just picked one. The whole time we were waiting Colin was smiling and laughing, he was looking around and totally ready to get in front of the camera. By the time we got into the photo room he was getting tired, and there was a big fan in the room since the lights get so warm and he didn't like the breeze. Still he was pretty smiley for the first couple minutes, but the woman didn't take any pictures of him... she stood there squeezing and shaking a rubber ducky in front of him. I was watching the screen she was using as a guide for the shots, and there were easily 5 good opportunities she missed. I think she thought he was older than he is, so she was expecting more responsivness and cooperation out of him. She eventually fired of a couple of shots, and we are getting some prints of the above pose . The other lame thing is that it takes two weeks to get your pictures. The one cool thing is that they have a web address you can look at your proofs at and order more prints from. That is where this pic came from. They have lager versions of the pic too, so we are going to copy it to a cd and take it to Costco and get some wallet size prints done (the pics are fairly low resolution so wallets are the only size worth getting).
