Happy Halloween
Colin went out trick-or-treating twice tonight. Our apartment complex is pretty quiet, so we went to two different shopping malls... so he could wear his two different costumes. We couldn't decide whether or not he was cuter in his frog or monkey suit so went went with both. It took him a few stops to wrap his head around the idea that all he had to do was look cute and people would give him candy, but he figured it out pretty quick. He didn't really know what to do with all the candy since he had never seen most of it, but we let him have a little bit. One of the places we went was downtown Hillsboro which is kind of quaint, and a lot like downtown SC... minus the bars, piercing shops, and hippies.
There was a representative from the Farmer's Market there who was handing out apples, and Colin carried around his apple the rest of the night. I imagine this will be the first and only year he will be happier to get fruit than candy.
Here is Colin doing his bext monkey impression.
