Happy Halloween

Colin went out trick-or-treating twice tonight. Our apartment complex is pretty quiet, so we went to two different shopping malls... so he could wear his two different costumes. We couldn't decide whether or not he was cuter in his frog or monkey suit so went went with both. It took him a few stops to wrap his head around the idea that all he had to do was look cute and people would give him candy, but he figured it out pretty quick. He didn't really know what to do with all the candy since he had never seen most of it, but we let him have a little bit. One of the places we went was downtown Hillsboro which is kind of quaint, and a lot like downtown SC... minus the bars, piercing shops, and hippies.

There was a representative from the Farmer's Market there who was handing out apples, and Colin carried around his apple the rest of the night. I imagine this will be the first and only year he will be happier to get fruit than candy.

Here is Colin doing his bext monkey impression.

We took Colin to the park today, and there were some other kids there who were making a big pile of leaves. Colin played in the leaves after the kids were done, but he was more interested in the ducks and the other kids. We finally got a new camera so we can post pics like crazy. We now have three flickr streams until we break down and sign up for a pro account. I'll work on adding links to them, and figuring out a way to post overflow in our personal webspace.

A Day at the Beach

He sings to himself and is unstoppably watchable when he is watching TV- he cranes his little neck moving his face from one side of the screen to the other watching the new guy from Blue's Clues sing about how he found a clue. Remarkable. Updates on Halloween costumes soon. (Yes, that is plural)
