Little Colin has made it home. He actually came home on Sunday, which was nice- a very quiet, low key event. He seems to like it here alright- although when he is in his crib, he looks extra tiny. He had his first doctor's appointment yesterday and so far everything looks good- which is good since we have only had him out of the hospital for a day. Greg is working on putting up some pics or something so that everyone can see how cute Colin is in all of his different modes (which are very limited right now). Tomorrow is Colin's first week birthday and since I was quite occupied on his real birthday, maybe the 3 of us could have a mini celebration of him being here. As strange as it sounds, I already feel as though I can't imagine what things would be like without him. He has definitely integrated into the family so that it feels like he has always been here.

It was a really long and hard day.

But we got a cute one.

Now the baby yard and swing are set up- so we are as ready as we are ever going to be. We are just waiting at this point. Not much to report, technically 9 days to go, but really any day now would be fine. I'm hoping that the quiet that has befallen Stevenson will coax the kid to wanting to come visit the outside world. We'll keep you all posted!

Living Room Adjustments
We are in the middle of rearranging our living room. We got the college to take out one of the couches to make some room for things like the baby play yard, swing, and exersaucer, so we decided to move all the furniture around just for kicks. I just finished moving our giant entertainment center to the other wall inch by inch. I also took this opportunity to adjust some cabling that I had been meaning to do for a while. The VCR is hooked up to record from the TiVo again, and I moved the wireless router to the top of the entertainment center instead of the floor by the couch. I added an extension cord, and an extra Ethernet connection into the entertainment center. Christine is taking a little afterwork nap, and I am going to move some more furniture, and figure something out for dinner. If we manage to get the room looking good before the baby comes, I'll post some pictures.

I saw this link on Boing Boing today. BloggingBaby is a new parenting blog from Weblogs Inc. I started reading their automobile blog a couple weeks ago, so hopefully this will be an equally useful resource for information that is about to become a lot more pertinent to my daily life.

Just hanging around
There is not too much to report in the last few weeks of pregnancy. Christine gets tired faster than she used to, but for the most part she isn't too uncomfortable. This weekend was the shower, and it was pretty amazing. It was great to catch up with friends and family, and we received so many generous and great gifts. This baby is coming into the world well loved, and there are a lot of people who can't wait to meet him/her.
