First Injury

We went out to lunch yesterday, and Colin slept the whole time. Somehow on the way back to the car a bee found its way under the sun screen thing in his carseat. We started driving and he woke up and he was crying, so I leaned back to give him his pacifer to see if we could get him to sleep a little longer. When I moved the sun shade he was flaying his arms, and he had a bee on his hand. I picked the bee off his hand with a burp rag and threw it out the window. He wasn't crying that much so I didn't think he had been stung, but then I saw blood over his right eye, and a stinger sticking out of his eyelid. We were right around the corner from urgent care so we drove over and had to wait about 10 minutes to see the doctor. Colin was kind of eriely calm, so we were worried that something was really wrong, and pissed that the receptionist lady didn't think a bee sting was uch of a big deal. He started acting like his usual smily self while we were in the exam room waiting for the doctor. The swelling got a little worse than it is in this picture, but this morning it looks alright. Still a little swollen, but all in all he was a lot less traumatized than I was expecting (and than we were).
